Our family got together at Gram and Papa's house for Easter dinner. My Nephew Ethan loves "baby Kenndey" as he says. He sat down next to her and she gave him some love. They were so cute...he is always so sweet with her! After dinner Gram let the kids dye some eggs. While they were dying the eggs my sister in law Meg hid some eggs in the front yard. After all the kids were done coloring the eggs we told them to get there baskets for an Easter egg hunt. I didn't think Reagan would really get what was going on. When we got out front she kept telling me, "Mommy eggs are in the grass!" She was so excited. I told her to pick them up and put them in her basket. She started running all over. It was a blast. The kids really enjoyed it, at least I think they did. After we were done with the egg hunt we went inside and had a little dessert. My other sister in law (Lauren) had made some peanut butter cookies shaped like bears. They were totally cute and they tasted great!

All in all I would have to say our Easter was full of fun. Every year just gets funner and funner with these little ones. I just can't wait til' next year when Kennedy is able to run around with all of the kids.

I MISS MY MATTY....

Well, today Matthew left after being here since last Saturday. Every time he leaves I am usually so busy that I don't even have time to think about it, but today after he left I sat here missing him more than I usually do. I realized I want him to come home so our family can move on already. I know he is happy with his Dad and Jen and like I have said as long as he is happy I am too. I just miss him and want the absolute best for him. I guess I am just having a moment...LOL! Whatever that may be?

We had a great visit...of course we had our moments. For some reason he loves to aggravate the crap out of me (he admitted he does it to annoy me on purpose...little turd). We went and saw "Horton Hears a Who"...it was really cute. Mostly I just enjoyed spending some time with him. He exercised with me every morning and I couldn't believe how he could hang with me...he did a great job. We ran all over town grocery shopping and just running errands. He was a trooper. We laughed constantly. While he was here he had another book report. He was reading a book about Christopher Columbus. He had it read in 3 days. Man I wish I loved to read as much as him. He just loves to read. Reagan is such a stinker...while he is here she doesn't want anything to do with him (most of the time anyway), but as soon as he left....she kept saying "Mommy where is Matt? Matt's all gone Mommy." I just kept telling her, "We'll see him soon." It rips your heart out trying to explain it to her. She just doesn't understand and as she gets older it is getting worse when he leaves.

Oh well, I am sure your sick of me rambling. I just Miss my son a ton.

Happy St. Patty's Day...

Reg's Birthday Party...

Note: If you don't see the pictures, click the x in the corner.

We had a Blast!!! I had a friend & her kids come up from Las Vegas. I had not seen her since right after Nate and I got married. My Matty Mo came up with my Mother and all of the rest of the family was here as well. All the kids were so cute. I hope they all had a good time. I made chicken salad and we ate it on crossaints. I also had chips, cut up fruit that we dipped in fruit dip (marshmellow cream with strawberry cream cheese & also with raspberry cream cheese), and we just had water. Then last but certainly not least the cake....the cake was sooooo YUMMY!!! It was white with strawberry filling. Needless to say there were no leftovers. I had a friend of mine make it....I was going to try, but it just looked like to much work and she gave me a great deal on the price. The Balloons were so cool. The Tinkerbell balloon talked when you tapped it. Reg's loves it to death. I think she had a great time, but a little overwhelmed. She was most excited to dress up in the "Tinky Bell" dress and the shoes. Grammy found some Tinkerbell shoes at the Disney store in Vegas...I am affraid she will never want to ware anything else. She wanted to sleep in them that night.....it was like pulling teeth to get them off. She has wore them since Saturday.

After the Party my girl friend and her kids decided to spend the night. My neice and nephew stayed as well. We ordered pizza and watched The Bee Movie. Sunday we had Pancakes and hung out some more before everyone had to leave. We had a great time. I can't wait to do it again LOL!!!

Our St. Patty's Day Dinner with the Fam...

Note: If you don't see the pictures, click the x in the corner.

The Family all met at my in-laws for an early St. Patty's Day dinner. We had cornbeef, cabage, mashed potatoes and corn. It was pretty Yummy! My Father-in-law made some browinies (Man they were excellent!!). He found the recipe in a Taste of Home magazine, I believe. My Mother-in-law had a little quiz for all of us and we got cute little prizes (it was alot of fun). She is always doing a little something for all of us. She always makes it a fun time.

My sister-in-law (Lauren) made a whole bunch of sugar cookies shaped like bunnies, flowers, and eggs so we decided to let the kids decorate them. My mother-in-law got out her spring sprinkles and we colored some frosting. The kids loved it.

Our Park Adventure...

Note: If you don't see the pictures, click the x in the corner.

We decided to go to the park and have a picnic with our friend Sherrie and her kids. The park is only about 10 minutes away (walking). We decided that we would let the kids ride their bikes and we would walk. The kids had a blast. The girls swung on the swings and played on the play ground. The boys road their bikes on the trail. The girls joined the boys for a little bit as well. Kenner's just hung out and enjoyed the outside. I didn't think about sunblock...so needless to say Reagan and I are burnt to a crisp. Kennedy got a little sun on her face, but she isn't as bad as Reagan and I. My ears hurt so bad because my hair was up. I guess I learned for the next time LOL. We ate lunch and played for about 2 hours....It was tons of fun!

The Birthday Girl...

Today Reagan is 3. She was so cute this morning...She woke up at 6 am and went down stairs to watch Barbie Princess. I asked her if she wanted some breakfast and she told me, "Mommy...I want opcorn!" That is how she says popcorn. I was thinking to myself noway you need to have breakfast, but then I remembered it is her birthday so whatever the birthday girl wants she can have. This will be a memorie because it won't happen again LOL! I told her it was her birthday and then I asked, "How old are you?" She said, "I three. Mommy Reggie 3." Oh my little girl is growing up. We are having her party this Saturday. It will be fun. Matty Mo is coming up and he gets to stay all next week for his Spring break. Mom is so excited.

Happy Birthday My Big 3 Year Old!!!

Venting about Potty Training...

Ok I seriously give up LOL. We started potty training Reagan in January and she did so awesome with peeing. When it came time for the other, it just wasn't so good. We were fine with that, we just figured it would take a little longer. We would work with her and like I said she was doing great for the most part. She was 100% with the peeing. Well, a couple of weeks ago she just started peeing all over my house and her bed every night. She did this for about a week and I was so sick of it so I just put her back in diapers (as bad as I didn't want to). Now I can't get her to do anything! She pee's and takes her diaper off right away. She does the other and she does the same thing and then there is a mess. Can I tell you I want to kick her bum every time, but instead I just say, "Reagan how come we don't go potty in the princess potty?" Mind you she just laughs and ignores me or changes the subject. I am really going to go crazy!!! What do I do with this situation? I don't mind her being back in diapers, but I want to be able to clean it up from there not all over my house. This is why we put her back in the diapers to begin with was so we wouldn't have it all ove the house. Someone HELP!!! Give me advice LOL!

Potato Salad Recipe...

It makes quite a bit, but this is all we have left from the BBQ and after Nate got a hold of it. It is his fave.

Ok what you need is:

3 lbs of Potatoes (about 8 Medium)
6 hard boiled eggs; chopped
3 celery ribs; chopped
6 green onions; chopped
2 medium dill pickles; finely chopped
1-1/2 cups of mayo
1/4 cups of dill pickle juice
4-1/2 teaspoons prepared mustard
1 teaspoon of celery seed
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of pepper

Ok what I do is put the potatoes in a BIG pot, cover with water, bring to a boil, then I cover them and turn the heat down to a simmer for about 20-30 min. Let them cool. Peel them and cut them however chunky you like your salad. Cut up the celery, onions, your hard boiled eggs and your pickles. (I use good pickles in this because they are what gives this flavor, I think). Put all of that in a big bowl while you mix up the sauce. In another bowl put your mayo, pickle juice, mustard, celery seed, salt and pepper then mix together. Pour over the potatoe mixture and mix well. Regrigerate for at least 4 hours. I like to make it the day before, but I just put the dry stuff in a bowl by itself and the wet mixture in a seperate bowl, put them in the fridge over night; then the next morning I mix them together; then I put it back in the fridge til we need it.

We love this recipe in our family. Try it and let me know what you think!

Neighborhood BBQ...

Last Sunday someone put a flyer on our door for a Neighborhood BBQ and it just said to bring your own main course, plates and utinsels, drinks will be provided...Bring a side or dessert to share with your neighbors (something like that). I made some "Potato Salad" and some "Chocolate Chip Cookies." (If you want a really good recipe for potato salad, the one I have is awesome). Anyway...we all met in the middle of all the units and talked, we let the kids play. It was really kind of fun. We see eachother at church and stuff, but we are all so to ourselves...this is what we needed. Now it will be nice to pass them and actually know there names. I think Nate really enjoyed himself...he just got right in there and started up some of the conversation (it was kind of shocking to me). He isn't usually the one to do the talking. I was the one sitting in the corner with our girls. It was different for me to see Nate enjoying himself and meeting people because I am usually the one pushing us to meet new people and get out in the social world. I think we are switching roles. I am just so use to being in my house with my girls and keeping to myself lately. Anyway it was alot of fun. I am glad we went because I was thinking about not going.

Discouraged and Frustrated (Venting)...

I have not been feeling myself since even before I got pregnant with Kennedy. I had planned on having a full physical after I had her because I figured if there was anything really wrong with me while I was pregnant they would find it with all the tests and things they do. Anyway I have had a couple of spells where my anxiety gets the best of me and I get dizzy and nausiated. So I was planning on making the appt. Going to the doctor for us is a little hard because we don't have insurance so it is a planned process. Well, I started having some episodes with my heart and I got a little concerned and just thought nows the time regardless we have to sacrafice and I need to go. Well, I make the appt. and the receptionist asks if I need a yearly, I told her not really I have a Doc. I go to. She said whats bringing you in? I told her I had some concerns with my heart and I want a full physical. They were 3 weeks out, but I made the appt. anyway. Well, I go, they call me back...she weighs me...we go in the room and she says your here for a pap right? I was like well, is that part of the physical? Yea, she said with a look on her face like she didn't know what I was talking about. She had a piece of paper in her hand and asked me what brought me in...I told her what was going on as she wrote it all down. She told me what I needed to do to get ready for the Doc to come in. So I get all ready and the Doc comes in...she asks me what brings me in and I say, "I just haven't been feeling myself since I had my baby." She says, "How old is baby?" I tell her and I tell her my main concern and what really brought me in was how worried I was about my heart. It went in one ear and out the other. She asks me if I take any medication on a regular basis. I tell her no. She asks me if I take some medication I had never heard of and I say no what is that. She beats around the bush for a minute and tells me it is an anti-depresant. I tell her no. So she does the yearly, gets done and tells me I think you are depressed. I kind of lauged and I said, "Really...you think I am depressed?" She says, "Yes I do and I think this medication will help with your energy BLAH BLAH BLAH!" I was so confused what just happened. I didn't get any of my questions answered about my heart and I realized they didn't even take my blood pressure. What the heck just happened. So she says I want to check your Thyroid and CBC. I thought to myself my OB just did that and told me it was normal...he's the one who told me to go to my Doc and get a Physical. I should of told her that, but I was so confused on what just happened and how nothing I talked about was addressed. Mind you after my OB did those tests and then told me to go to my Doc for a physical I didn't and now still don't have a Doc for myself. I went to this Doc because she was refered to me...the person who refered her feels awful, but how did she know. (Please don't worry about it because it is not your fault)! So on my way down the hall to the lab I was thinking was that a physical? Don't they check your cholesterol and other things....Don't they take your blood pressure. I was so confused. I get my blood done and walk down to my car and then really start thinking I just paid 294.00 for that and I didn't get any of my questions addressed about my heart. I still couldn't figure out how come they didn't even take my blood pressure. I was really frustrated and confused. The more I thought about it....I realized I was a new patient and they didn't even ask me my medical history. What the heck just happened? Now I am so upset. My heart is still concerning me and I can't afford to go back to another Doc right now. So once again I have to wait until I can go to a Doc and I have no idea who to go to. So if anyone knows a good Doctor here please let me know. Thanks for listening to me vent.

Ok can I say CRAZY!!!

My Husband is a big fan of the show "Cops" and he likes to watch "The First 48", actually he really likes any kind of investigation type show. Any way....last night as I was cleaning (mind you it was late, like 11:00ish) everyone was asleep in my house. All of a sudden I heard my husband whisper, "Alisha come hear!" His voice was kind of excited so I got a little nervous. We sleep with the window cracked because our room is on the second floor. I was coming up the stairs and he had his finger to his mouth to be quiet. So I walk up there and he tells me that he got woken up to someone pounding on the neighbors door.....he says, "look outside!" So I go over to the window and sure enough there are F.B.I and Sheriffs (I don't thing I spelt that right) banging on there door. There were like 5 guys just in the front. You could see the peoples upstairs lights on, but they were not answering. They banged and I mean banged on the door for like 30-40 minutes. We could see a few of our other neighbors looking out their windows too. Finally the porch light flicked on and someone opened the door.....the officers rushed in screaming, "Search Warrant!" It was the craziest thing I have ever seen right in my neighborhood. Really for the most part all of our neighbors have little children and are the nicest people, we really thought this was a great neighborhood. Someone in the Neighborhood actually planned a BBQ for tomorrow night so we know what the talk of that will be. I'm not going to lie....I new something was up with these particular neighbors, you could just tell....they had to much traffic. Nate was intrigued to be able to see that live LOL. We talked and Nate and I think it is now time to move. This is just a little to close quarters for us. I am paranoid as it is and I am just freaked out now because they didn't even get the people that live there, just the new guy that has been staying there for about a week now. Anyway I sure hope they take care of that situation.

My tired GiRLy...

Saturday night we all went to bed really late. Well, about 5:30 am Nate heard Reagan calling for us (I didn't hear a thing). When I got up at 7:30 I noticed a light on downstairs and I thought it was kind of weird. As I came down the stairs this is what I found....

She got a Pink balloon at her cousin's birthday party and it had to go with her where ever she went. So you can see the string of the balloon. She still has the balloon and it is about dead. I don't know what she will do when it pops. She can't understand why it doesn't float anymore. She just keeps throwing it in the air and says, "Balloon get up there!"

I really like this Quote...

"Never let a day go by without holding family prayer and family scripture study. Put this, the Lord's program to the test; and see if it does not bless your home with greater peace, hope, love, and faith. I promise you that daily family prayer and scripture study will build within the walls of your home a security and bonding that will enrich your lives and prepare your families to meet the challenges of today and the eternities to come."
Elder L. Tom Perry
This is a challenge in our family, but we are striving everyday to be better. It totally makes a huge difference. Our girls are so little and we use to say "Oh they don't understand whats going on, we'll do it when they are older." Well, Reagan is going to be 3 and believe it or not she learns a ton. It is something we all need to do even if you are a family of 2 (just you and your spouce). Hope this encourages all of you.

Kate's 1rst Birthday...

We just got home from Kate's first birthday (our little niece)!! She was so cute with her cake. My sister-n-law is so creative. The theme was a "Teenie" party. She served little mini hamburgers and little mini hot dogs. She had the buns special ordered to fit them. She served little chips (they were those little 100 calorie pack chips). The desserts were even little mini's. She had mini cupcakes, mini eclaires, and mini cream puffs. It was really cute! We had a chance to catch up with all of the family for a minute (as if we don't see them all the time LOL). No it was fun. I wish I would of remembered my camera. Anyway...
"Happy Birthday Lil Miss Kate!!!" We love you tons!
Miss Meg you did an awesome job despite getting sick.
Now you need to rest and get feeling better!!!
